Precision Remanufacturing for DD15 Reliability
Each Detroit Diesel DD15 EGR Cooler (OEM A4721400475) is remanufactured in-house by Turbo Kings to restore OEM-grade cooling efficiency and reliability.
Every unit is fully disassembled and stripped to bare metal before entering a heated alkaline detergent flush, which clears out carbon, soot, and oil residue from coolant and exhaust channels. This process ensures full internal flow and maximum thermal performance.
Following the flush, each cooler is placed in a 48-hour mild acid bath using a controlled citric/phosphoric solution to remove oxidation and coolant scale without weakening the metal.
All components are inspected and, when necessary, TIG-weld re-fabricated to repair cracks or worn joints and restore sealing integrity.
Each cooler then undergoes a 125 PSI submerged pressure test, verifying complete separation between coolant and exhaust circuits. Only coolers that pass this leak test move on to final rinsing and oven drying.
