CAT C15 741155-9003 2005–07 Low Pressure Remanufactured Turbocharger

Precision Remanufacturing

This Turbo Kings remanufactured low-pressure turbocharger replaces the OEM 741155-9003 assembly used on 2005–2007 CAT C15 ACERT engines. As the large-frame unit in the staged ACERT twin-turbo system, the LP turbo supplies high-volume airflow, stabilizes mid-range torque, and provides the exhaust energy foundation for the high-pressure (HP) turbo. Turbo Kings begins each reman with a full teardown and inspection of the turbine housing, compressor cover, bearing housing, wheel set, and fasteners. All components are cleaned through high-temperature alkaline treatment, ultrasonic agitation, and media finishing to remove soot, carbon packing, oil varnish, and corrosive scaling.

The LP turbo is built on the BorgWarner S410 / GTA55 platform, one of the most robust large-frame turbo architectures used in heavy-duty diesel engines. Turbo Kings restores each critical surface by checking turbine housing geometry, compressor volute alignment, flange flatness, and center-housing dimensional accuracy. The CHRA is fully rebuilt using brand-new journal bearings, thrust hardware, piston rings, O-rings, fasteners, and balancing components. Bearing clearances are digitally validated to meet OEM specifications, ensuring proper oil-film support during high-load operation.

Each rotating assembly is high-speed VSR balanced, ensuring smooth boost response and long-term durability. Lubrication channels inside the bearing housing are cleaned, recut where required, and flow-tested to prevent oil starvation and minimize carbon formation during extended service intervals.

Seal Integrity & Flow Efficiency

Turbo Kings restores all sealing surfaces that affect airflow stability and oil control. Compressor cover O-ring lands, thrust seal seats, and turbine ring interfaces are resurfaced or replaced to eliminate boost leakage and oil intrusion. Proper turbine-wheel tip clearance is confirmed during assembly, and compressor inlet geometry is corrected for roundness and uniformity.

Because the low-pressure unit does not rely on a wastegate or actuator, its performance is defined by scroll shape, volumetric flow efficiency, and rotating-group balance. Turbo Kings inspects and corrects scroll casting deviations, turbine inlet transitions, and flange mating surfaces to maintain stable airflow delivery throughout the RPM range. This ensures strong drivability, smooth boost handoff to the HP turbo, and reliable long-haul performance.

What Makes Turbo Kings Different

Every Turbo Kings LP turbocharger is remanufactured to engineering-grade precision. Each unit receives:

  • Full CHRA rebuild with new bearings, thrust parts, seals, and hardware

  • Digitally verified bearing and seal clearances

  • High-speed rotor balancing

  • Restored turbine and compressor sealing interfaces

  • Reconditioned scroll and volute surfaces

  • Clean-room assembly with torque-matched fasteners

  • Pressure and flow verification for quality assurance

Turbo Kings prioritizes mechanical accuracy over cosmetic refreshes, ensuring every unit delivers OEM-level performance.

Why Fleets and Owner-Operators Trust Turbo Kings

The C15 ACERT LP turbo is critical for airflow volume, emissions stability, temperature control, and HP turbo support. A Turbo Kings reman restores:

  • Strong mid-range torque

  • Predictable boost transition to the HP turbo

  • Smooth throttle response under heavy load

  • Reduced ACERT-related airflow fault codes

  • Cleaner burn efficiency and reduced soot formation

  • Extended service life under commercial duty cycles

Fleets rely on Turbo Kings because every turbo is built to withstand real-world demand, not just pass a bench check.
